Ask once and get every record we hold on you, free, within 30 days
A machine shop doesn't keep much on people. Usually it's a name on a quote and the email that carried the print. You can see all of it, fix it, or have it deleted, and this page is where you ask.

What sits in our records
Most of what we have came from you. When you send an inquiry through the site, the form carries your name, phone, email, company or ship-to address, the kind of job, your notes and whatever spec you typed. If you attached a STEP file, a DXF or a PDF print by email, that file is stored with the job. If you used the chat, the messages are stored against a token held in your own browser.
If a job went ahead, there is more: the written quote, any revisions, the first-article check sheet with measured numbers, delivery or pickup details and the invoice. Those are business records about a job. They mention you because you were the contact.
The site itself collects a little on its own. Server logs note IP addresses and pages requested, kept for security and cleared on a rolling basis. When you allow cookies in the banner, the ad click identifiers in the address you landed on (gclid from Google Ads, msclkid from Microsoft Advertising, fbclid from Meta) are stored so a later inquiry can be matched to the ad that brought you. Google Consent Mode v2 keeps ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage at denied until you choose Allow, and returns them to denied if you decline or change your mind. The full list is on the cookie page.
What you can ask for
A copy. We send everything tied to your name, email or phone in one package: a plain summary, the form submissions and chat log as text, and copies of quotes and check sheets. Your own drawings come back too, if you want them.
A correction. Wrong phone number, a new company name, a contact who has left. Tell us and it's changed on every open job.
Deletion. We delete inquiries, chat logs, click identifiers and contact details. What we can't delete is an invoice and the quote it rests on, because tax law says we keep them. We will tell you exactly which records stay and for how long.
Stop ad use. We stop matching your inquiry to any ad click and remove stored identifiers. To stop the platforms themselves, use their own controls: Google's privacy policy, the Microsoft privacy statement and Meta's privacy policy each explain how.
How we check it's you
We answer to the email or phone number already on file. If you write from an address we've never seen, we'll call the number on the job to confirm before sending anything. That is the whole check. We don't ask for ID documents, because we'd then have to store them, and a job shop has no business holding a copy of your driver's licence.
If you're asking on behalf of someone else, a colleague who left the company for example, we need that person's say-so in writing or a letter from the company that owns the account.
What happens after you send it
A person at the shop reads it, usually the same day. You get a reply within 5 working days saying we have it and what we found. The full answer follows within 30 days, most often much sooner, since a search of our records takes about an hour. If it's going to run longer, we say why before the 30 days are up.
If you think we got it wrong, write back. If you're still not satisfied, you can raise it with the consumer protection unit of the Delaware Department of Justice or the regulator where you live. The rest of how we handle data is in the privacy notice.
